Lavender Hill Bernese

Vegas was yellow girl from my last litter, you know the puppy that was always into everything, the first one out of whelping box and kept me on my toes from 3 weeks of age.  Once all her siblings were gone, she mellowed out and is super sweet.

Vegas is very special to me, she is a line breeding on her Grandmother Ivie and she is full of type.  She has beautiful movement, great reach and drive and clean coming and going.  She looks like she is floating when going around the ring.  She earned her Championship at 10 months of Age with a 3, 3, 4 & 5 point major.  

I brought Vegas back out at 16 months of age and showed her occasionally throughout the year.  In September we went to the Canadian National Specialty, where she earned her Championship in 3 shows and the following day won breed and a group 2.  From there we went to Colorado for a Back to Back Regional Specialty where at 19 months of age she won back to back shows.  She was Best Opposite at the Northern California Specialty two weeks later.  She finished the year as the #2 Bitch in the country at 21 months of age.  

At the 2019 National Specialty Vegas won Peoples Choice Award for Top 20 Competition as well as Best Opposite Sex at our National - In 2019  She was #2 Bitch Breed and All Breed for 2019.

In 2019 I bred Vegas to Cuervo and she gave me 10 gorgeous puppies, Kenya also had a litter of 8 at the same time and being the over- achiever that she is, Vegas mothered all 18 puppies.

Then Covid hit and showing came to a standstill - in 2021 we started up again, picking and choosing some shows, she ended up #2 Bitch Breed and #3 All Breed.  In 2022 we were going to try and breed her again (I had tried 3 times during covid with no success) and after a fantastic beginning of the year, Cindy encouraged me to campaign her, and we set out with a goal to see if she could be #1 Bernese.  What a Ride it was, she did end up Being #1 Breed and All Breed of all Bernese, She also broke the record for the Most Specialty Wins of any Bernese.

In 2023 she started out the year on fire - in January, 10 Shows, 10 Best of Breeds, 2 Specialty Wins, 1 Reserve Best in Show, 5 Group Ones, 2 Group 2's and a group 3 - keeping her #1 Bernese Breed and all breed through the month of April.  She won Top 20 at the National Specialty.   Our plan was to breed her but the repro vets have advised against that and so she has been working on Obedience, Rally, Scent Work and Draft hoping to get her Versatility Title.
